Community Cleanup Drive Cleans 5 Tons of Waste from Riverbanks
Hundreds of local volunteers gathered along the Buriganga riverbank to clean up plastic waste and restore biodiversity.
An extraordinary wave of civic enthusiasm transformed the Buriganga riverfront this weekend. Armed with protective gloves, bio-degradable collection bags, and floating debris skimmers, over 400 volunteers retrieved five metric tons of single-use polythene, discarded containers, and synthetic rubbish.
The event concluded with an interactive workshop demonstrating home composting and plastic upcycling techniques.
